How much does Phlebotnia cost?
Phlebotnia sends a medical specialist to you to collect your diagnostics. For patients paying for themselves, exact pricing varies by date and location.
The cost of laboratory testing is separate and charged by the laboratory (e.g. Labcorp or Quest). To make things easier for you, we offer the ability to upload your insurance information. If you choose to upload it, we will provide it to the laboratory so they can process your bill using insurance. To check the exact price of your laboratory testing bill, we recommend calling the laboratory ahead of time.

Does insurance cover Phlebotnia?
Phlebotnia charges are an out of pocket concierge service starting from $35. In certain cases, you can submit your receipt to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Once your specimens are delivered to the laboratory you select, the testing itself is generally covered by insurance. We recommend checking first to avoid any surprises. To find out if your insurance is accepted by your preferred lab, you may check your corresponding laboratory's website.

What is your rescheduling and cancelation policy?
Appointments more than 24 hours from the scheduled appointment time can be rescheduled or canceled for a full refund.
Appointments less than 24 hours from the scheduled appointment time cannot be rescheduled and are non-refundable if canceled.

How do I get my lab results?
Lab results will typically be ready in 3-5 business days though certain tests may take longer. Once your lab results are ready, your doctor will typically reach out after to review the results together.
Give you physician and their offices 7-14 days to receive results, review results and then they will contact you.
For your privacy, Phlebotnia does not receive any information on your lab result status - only you, the provider who ordered your labs, and the laboratory you selected will receive your lab results.
What if I don't have a lab order?
You have two easy options for providing your lab order to Phlebotnia when booking a visit. You can provide us your doctor’s contact information and we can collect your lab order for you, or you can ask your doctor for a copy of your lab order and upload it.
Does Phlebotnia provide pediatric draws for children?
With parental consent, we can perform pediatric draws on patients over 5 years of age. To book an appointment, simply go to the Appointment form.
Are your phlebotomists certified to collect blood?
Yes, absolutely. Phlebotnia exclusively employs trained phlebotomists who are certified to practice phlebotomy and they are continually assessed during their employment.
Can I schedule same day appointments?
Yes! Phlebotnia offers same-day and next-day appointments, subject to availability.
Can I schedule an early morning or late afternoon appointment?
Yes, absolutely. To book an appointment, simply go to Appointment form.

Can I schedule a weekend appointment?
Yes! We are open on weekends in some areas. To check if we’re open on weekends in your city, simply enter your address in the Appointment form.
Is fasting required?
It depends on the lab test being requested. If we see that your specific labs require fasting, we will let you know ahead of time.
How do you keep my information confidential?
Your healthcare information is strictly confidential and only used for scheduling and coordination purposes.

What forms of payments do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards.
Is Phlebotnia HIPAA compliant?
Yes, absolutely. Likewise, we routinely undergo internal compliance testing to ensure we uphold the highest standards.
Is Phlebotnia a laboratory?
Phlebotnia is not a laboratory. Our technology platform facilitates our service for mobile phlebotomy. We send certified, employed phlebotomists to your home to collect your samples, and drop off those samples at the laboratory you or your doctor selected for testing. 100% of the testing is handled by the laboratory.
What precautions is Phlebotnia taking for COVID-19?
Here's what we’re doing to keep you safe:
- Our phlebotomists wear medical-grade personal protective equipment (PPE)
- This includes masks, gloves, medical scrubs, and optional foot coverings
- Phlebotomists change into new PPE for each visit
- Phlebotomists carry disinfectants and sanitizers
- We screen our phlebotomists and patients before each visit and again upon arrival
Can you come to my office or place of work?
Yes, as long as it's permitted by your employer and it is indoors, clean, and a sterile environment.
